Springfield Woman ID'd As Fatal Shooting Victim In West Springfield Police have identified the woman who they found shot and bleeding in a West Springfield parking lot as a 43-year-old Springfield woman.  Angela Mercado was found shot just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, in a parking lot on Riverdale Road, West Springfield police said. Officers were sent to the area after receiving 911 calls about a disturbance.  They found Mercado bleeding from a bullet wound, and paramedics rushed her to Baystate Medical Center, where she died of her wounds.  Roman Holguin, age 37, of Springfield, was charged with murder in the killing and is being h…

On Thursday, Jan. 28, West Springfield Police arrested Nathan “Nate” J. Marrin, formerly of West Springfield, for an alleged assault and robbery the prior day.
