Bicyclist Hospitalized After Massachusetts Crash
A 71-year-old bicyclist was hospitalized in Western Massachusetts this week after being struck by a car while crossing the street, police said. First responders from the Northampton Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of 221 Pine St. at 1:40 p.m. on Monday, June 28, where there was a report of a bicyclist who had been struck by a car. Police said that the 71-year-old bicyclist was treated at the scene before being transported to Baystate Hospital for further evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
