The Berkshire County holdup happened Nov. 29, 2023, in Pittsfield, at the NBT Bank located on Merrill Road. Pittsfield police said employees called 911 at around 5 p.m. saying a masked man had pulled a gun on them and demanded cash. The robber directed the tellers to lock the doors, close the blinds, and open the vault. 3 Hospitalized, 1 In Critical Condition, Following Western Mass Head-On Crash: Cops A head-on collision in Berkshire County sent three people to the hospital Saturday, Aug 12, with one woman needing to be airlifted to save her life, authorities said.  The crash happened around 1 p.m. at 635 Merrill Rd. in Pittsfield, police said.  A 52-year-old Pittsfield man in a pick-up truck driving north collided with a Subaru heading in the opposite direction, police said.
