Western Mass Officer Suspended After Assault Charges Announced: Post The agency responsible for state police standards announced it had suspended a Springfield officer after he was charged with assault, authorities said.  Jeffrey Alicea was among four officers suspended on Thursday, May 4, by the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission.
