Update: Police Suspend Search For Missing Kayaker In Douglas Update: Police and rescue crews have called off the search for a man they feared missing in a Worcester County reservoir on Friday, Aug. 18.  A man was seen fishing from a kayak Thursday morning, but the kayak was found capsized hours later without the angler.  A new surveillance video uncovered Friday shows the man launching the kayak at the Whitins Reservoir in Douglas Thursday morning. John Reynolds, age 58, of the Town of Richmond in Berkshire County, died Thursday, Dec. 9 at Berkshire Medical Center after his kayak overturned in Richmond Pond. Body Found In River ID'd As Missing UMass Student, DA Says A body found in the Connecticut River has been identified as a college student who was reported missing last year. The body of Wasique Hasan, age 21, of Easthampton, Massachusetts, was discovered in Hampshire County Friday, May 21, by a boater in Hadley, said the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
