Drunk Driver Kills Mass Woman, Critically Injures Man In Hit-Run Andover Crash: Police An elderly Methuen woman was killed and an elderly man is in critical condition after a drunk driver rear-ended their car in a hit-and-run crash in Andover on Saturday, Dec. 30, authorities said.  Constantino Quispe, 76, and Luzmila Medina Quispe, 75, both of Methuen, were in the backseat of a 2009 Honda Fit hatchback traveling on I-495 north, south of Exit 99, when a 2014 Ford Edge sedan crashed behind them, Massachusetts State Police said.  The hatchback was pushed across the breakdown lane and hit a guardrail. 16-Year-Old Girl Killed In Late Night Crash Right Before Cape Cod: Police A 16-year-old girl from Raynham was killed in a late night crash in just before Cape Cod, authorities said.  Police responded to the single-vehicle crash on I-495 in Wareham around 10:54 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, Massachusetts State police said.  Initial investigation suggests the girl was driving a 2008 Toyota Sienna when, for reasons still under investigation, she veered off the road, went down an embankment and hit a tree.  Her identity has yet to be released. No one else was in the car The crash is under investigation.

Man Fatally Shot Himself During Hours-Long Police Standoff In Northern Mass A man from Quincy fatally shot himself during a late-night standoff with police in Andover, authorities said.  Anthony Miele, age 49, was wanted in connection with multiple bank robberies in southeastern Massachusetts, according to Massachusetts State Police. A Be On The Look Out (BOLO) alert was issued for Miele as a result. A State Trooper then noticed Miele inside a parked vehicle outside the Digital Federal Credit Union on Broadway in Methuen just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, police said. Two Killed After SUV Hits Deer On Route 495 In Massachusetts Two people were killed on when their SUV hit a deer on a busy roadway in Massachusetts. The incident took place in Middlesex County on I-495 in Chelmsford around 4:50 a.m., Friday, June 3. When troopers arrived on the scene they discovered a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by a 53-year-old Acton man in a stand of trees in the median, said Trooper Brandon Doherty.  The man and his passenger were determined to be dead on the scene, Doherty said. It happened around 11:25 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, in Worcester County. A Freightliner truck northbound on I-495 in Milford veered out of its lane, struck the median guardrail, and rode up and over it, coming to rest approximately halfway off the bridge over Route 16, Massachusetts State Police said.
