A Milford man has been charged with running down a woman with his car and hitting her on purpose during a road rage dispute in Hopkinton, authorities said. Ryan Sweatt, age 36, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, operating to endanger, and a marked lanes violation after the alleged incident overnight Thursday, April 4, the Middlesex District Attorney said. 19-Year-Old Eagle Scout Found Dead While Biking In Milford Woods: DA
A 19-year-old man who was last heard from while biking in his neighboring town in Central Massachusetts was found dead after search crews found his body the night after his disappearance, authorities said. Daniel Cambourelis-Haskins was supposed to return to his Hopkinton home around 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, according to Milford Police on Facebook. House Fire Causes Road Closure In Westborough: Fire Department
A Westborough homeowner can thank their fire alarm for helping them escape a two-alarm blaze on Friday morning, Feb. 24. The blaze broke out just before 6:30 a.m. at 65 Adams St. near the intersection with Orchard Hill Drive, authorities said. The fire started in the living room and quickly spread. Westborough firefighters were fast to the scene, and with help from several area fire crews, they had it under control by 7:15 a.m., officials said. Massachusetts Deputy Police Chief Under Investigation On Administrative Leave
A deputy police chief who is under investigation has been placed on administrative, authorities said. Hopkinton Police Chief Joseph Bennett said Deputy Police Chief John Porter, who has been with the department since 1992, was placed on leave on Saturday, Aug. 27. According to a release, Bennett learned about Porter's status on Thursday. No other information was released.
