Vibrio vulnificus infections have killed at least 13 people on the Eastern Seaboard this year and cause an estimated 80,000 illnesses annually in the United States. Covid-19: Massachusetts Statewide Curfew Going Into Effect Massachusetts will launch a statewide curfew starting Friday, Nov. 6 in an effort to tamp down on the spread of COVID-19. The news comes amid a spike in COVID-19 cases across Massachusetts but concentrated in the eastern part of the state. Reports of 1,000 new COVID-19 cases each day have become common in the last week. Gov. Charlie Baker announced the plan on Monday, Nov. 2. The new stay-at-home advisory will take effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Restaurants should stop table service at 9:30 p.m., under the governor’s orders, according to MassLive.
