Holden Fire Truck Sank Into Road As Gas Main Break Caused Sinkhole
A Holden fire truck got stuck after a sinkhole opened up beneath it as fire crews were on the scene of a gas leak on Tuesday, April 26, authorities said. State Department of Transportation workers struck the underground gas line at 1063 Man St. just after 12:30 p.m., which caused the leak, Holden firefighters said. Three people were injured in an explosion at a Connecticut apartment, according to multiple reports. At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, police in New Haven County asked people in Seymour to avoid the area of Maple Street and Pearl Street. : Gas Leak Closes Part of Route 146 In Millbury For At Least Another Hour
Traffic has come to a halt after a gas main was struck this morning, July 27, by contractors working near Route 146, Exit 10 onto Route 20, and the Mass Pike. The Fire Department is on scene mitigating the leak. Northbound travel lanes on Route 146 are closed and traffic is being diverted to Exit 9.
