Officers Save Baby Choking, Gasping For Air In Massachusetts Two police officers in Western Massachusetts are being hailed as heroes after saving a baby who was choking. The incident took place in Springfield on Monday, May 9. Springfield Police officers Christopher Charles and Luis Rodriguez were working a construction detail at the intersection of Bradley and Wilbraham Roads when a vehicle approached the work zone, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police.
