Flaming Tractor-trailer Causes Traffic On 495 A trash tractor-trailer has caught on fire and is causing a traffic jam on Route 495. At around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, Berlin Police responded to a report of a truck accident on 495 North, between exits 26 and 27. Bolton Fire and Emergency Services have responded as well as Berlin firefighter. Police are asking people to seek alternate routes “as this will greatly affect the morning commute,” police said.

At around 5 a.m. on July 21, Berlin Police responded to a report of occupants of a dark-colored SUV were attempting to enter unlocked vehicles in the area. While responding, on Spicewood Lane, officers saw a person on foot running toward a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Honda CRV, police said. The person entered the vehicle.
