Deadly Explosion In Berlin Blamed On Propane Tank Leak: Fire Investigators After months of review, arson investigators have blamed a propane tank leak on an explosion that destroyed a home in Worcester County and killed a 79-year-old woman.  The explosion rocked the town of Berlin in the early morning of April 14, obliterating Judy Christensen's home at 71 Pleasant St. and damaging three of her neighbor's houses. Christensen died, and her daughter was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Sutton Police Cruiser Totaled By Drunk Driver Who Blew Stop Sign While a Sutton Police officer was unscathed from a recent accident, the same cannot be said about his cruiser.  Sergeant Joe Fortunato was heading towards main Street on Putnam Hill Road when his cruiser was hit by a car that did not stop at a stop sign on Sunday, Sutton Police said on Facebook.  The crash caused significant damage to Sgt. Flaming Tractor-trailer Causes Traffic On 495 A trash tractor-trailer has caught on fire and is causing a traffic jam on Route 495. At around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, Berlin Police responded to a report of a truck accident on 495 North, between exits 26 and 27. Bolton Fire and Emergency Services have responded as well as Berlin firefighter. Police are asking people to seek alternate routes “as this will greatly affect the morning commute,” police said.
