A Dozen Displaced, Two Dogs Rescued After Massachusetts House Fire A fire at a Western Massachusetts four-family unit home left 12 people and two dogs homeless. The fire broke out in Hampden County around 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, on Union Avenue in Westfield, said Deputy Chief Andrew Hart of the Westfield Fire Department. The fire started in one unit which received the most damage, but the other three units received smoke and water damage, Hart said. Two dogs were rescued by firefighters during the incident. Cockfight Organizer Pleads Guilty To Animal Cruelty - More Than 400 Poultry Rescued A city man has pleaded guilty for his participation in a Northampton-based cockfighting ring that law enforcement broke up in 2018.
