Active Shooter Threat At Northborough High School A Hoax: Police Police in Northborough said they a call of an active shooter on Tuesday, March 28, at Algonquin Regional High School was a hoax.  Police treated the situation seriously, but after a sweep of the building, officers found nothing. School activities returned to normal.  This morning a call was received by police indicating an active threat in progress at the high school. Our response protocol was activated.
