Ex-North High Basketball Star, 18, Killed In Halloween Night Shooting In Salem: DA An 18-year-old Salem State University student was shot and killed in a car near the Essex County college Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, authorities said.  Police received a 911 call just before 1:30 a.m. about a shooting near 22 Forest Avenue.
