Original: A car crash along Huntoon Memorial Highway has forced police to shut down the road Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 16.

The road is closed from Stafford Street in Leicester and Mill Street in north Oxford.

It's unclear when it will reopen, but authorities said drivers should avoid this area and seek alternate routes.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. It's unclear when the road will reopen to traffic. Police did not say if anyone was injured in the crash or how many cars were involved.
