Accidental Blasting Blocks Western Mass Road With Debris: No Time-Frame On Clean-Up, Police Say An accidental blasting incident has left a roadway in northern Connecticut closed for the foreseeable future as authorities work to remove debris.  The blasting incident, which was accidental in nature, happened in Litchfield County on Wednesday afternoon, July 19 in the area of Winsted Road at Dennison Drive in Torrington. The shooting took place in Litchfield County around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, when officers were sent on a welfare check of a person in Torrington. “Upon arrival, an officer was confronted by a male party and was forced to fire his service weapon,” said Det. The fire started in Litchfield County just after midnight on Thursday, Dec. 2 in Torrington, at 24.
