A 42-year-old Hampshire County man who crashed into a police officer's SUV on Wednesday night, March 6, was intoxicated when he wrecked, authorities announced. The Southampton man, whose name was not released, slammed into the back of a Northampton patrol car around 9:30 p.m. along Mount Tom Road near Island Road, police said. A 21-year-old Hampshire County man was killed Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, after he blew through a four-way stop in Easthampton, authorities said. The Southampton man was driving east on Pomeroy Meadow Road when he crashed near the intersection with Loudville Road and Glendale Street just after 6:30 a.m., Easthampton police said. Jaleisa Wilcox died on Wednesday, May 31, in Mechanicsville when a suspected speeding Corvette crashed into her and another vehicle, Maryland state police said. A 23-year-old Southampton man pleaded not guilty to the December 2022 killing of his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend on Friday, June 2, authorities said. Brian Camp faces a manslaughter charge in the fatal shooting of Johnathan Letendre, 27, of Northampton, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. A judge ordered a 38-year-old Winchendon man who confessed to disabling cars in several cities in Hampton and Worcester counties as part of a fetish to undergo counseling, authorities said. A Massachusetts man was arrested for allegedly putting something into a gas tank of a parked vehicle at an area store. Worcester County resident Alexander Yee, age 37, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 15 following the incident at the Big Y parking lot in Southampton in Hampshire County.
