Fatal Christmas Crash: 23-Year-Old Passenger ID'd As Victim On Roadway In Region One person was killed and another seriously injured in a single-vehicle Christmas Day crash in Connecticut. It happened around 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25 in Litchfield County on Route 44 (Canaan Road) in the town of Salisbury. The vehicle was traveling eastbound in the area of Twin Lakes Road when the driver lost control and traveled across the westbound lane and shoulder, subsequently exiting the roadway, where it collided with a tree, Connecticut State Police said.  The passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Three-Alarm Fire Breaks Out At Historic Building In Litchfield County A massive blaze broke out at a historic building in Connecticut which was once a hotel, displacing residents and injuring at least three firefighters. The three-alarm fire started in in Litchfield County, in the Town of New Hartford, around 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 10, on the third floor and the roof of the building at 4 Bridge St., Jon Barbagallo, public information officer for Norfolk said.
