She was caught on camera allegedly shoplifting from a business on Memorial Avenue in West Springfield, according to police. The theft occurred at around 12:30 p.m on Sunday, May 22. When a store employee confronted the woman, she resisted giving back the stolen merchandise and left, police said. She reportedly took off in a black Honda Civic. Driver Dies After Rollover Crash In Western Mass A woman has died following a rollover car crash in the region. The 31-year-old woman, who has not been identified, died following the Western Massachusetts crash in West Springfield, on Thursday, Sept. 23. Hampden District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Jim Leydon, said the crash took place on Memorial Avenue when the driver of an SUV struck another vehicle. After hitting the vehicle, the woman lost control of the SUV and hit a guiderail, causing it to roll over and catch fire, he said. Police said speeding is being considered as a factor in the crash.
