Quick-Thinking Tow Truck Driver Jumps To Aid Officers After Traffic Stop Turns Violent: Cops Northampton officers have a tow truck driver to thank after he threw himself into a dangerous situation when he saw a suspect attacking cops earlier this week, authorities said.  Police pulled over a car on King Street just after 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, because the vehicle's registration was revoked for having no insurance, Northampton police said. But the routine traffic stop quickly escalated when officers found a large amount of suspected heroin and cocaine inside the car. In Hampshire County, firefighters were called to the intersection of King Street and North Street in Northampton shortly before 8:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, when a pole caught fire and caused power outages downtown. The men were arrested around 2:46 a.m., Wednesday, April 14 after being pulled over on King Street by Northampton Police for speeding, the department said.
