Springfield Police Commissioner Resigns After Officers Raid Her Home, Arrest Fugitive Son: Cops The Springfield Police Commissioner Christy Torres stepped down on Tuesday, Jan. 16, soon after police raided her home and arrested a wanted fugitive — her son — on gun and drug charges, authorities said.
