Two Pittsfield police officers were driving to a reported disturbance off Cheshire Road just before 4:30 p.m. with lights and sirens on, Pittsfield authorities said. Teen Killed In Crash That Sent Car's Engine Through Western Mass Home During Police Chase: Cops A 19-year-old trying to escape police in Hampshire County lost control of his car, left the road, and went airborne, causing his vehicle to come apart, authorities said.  The chase began around 8:45 p.m. when a Massachusetts State Trooper spotted a 2011 Nissan Altima and attempted to pull it over on Route 202 South in Belchertown. The driver stepped on the gas, police said. He was going too fast to manage a curve in the road and skidded off the highway.  The car smashed into a mulch bed, which sent the Nissan flying. 26-Year-Old Killed In Head-On Crash On Roadway In Region A 26-year-old man was killed and two others seriously injured during a two-vehicle head-on crash on a Connecticut roadway. The crash took place in Windham County around 5 p.m., Monday, Nov. 7 in the Town of Brooklyn on Route 6. According to the Connecticut State Police, a Chevrolet Colorado was traveling east on Route 6 when a Jeep Wrangler traveling in the opposite direction crossed over the double-yellow line and hit the Chevrolet head-on.
