West Springfield Man Found Shot To Death In Springfield Apartment ID'd Police have identified a man who was shot and killed inside a Springfield apartment on Nov. 7.  Anthony Edwards, 30, of West Springfield, was found dead inside an apartment in the 100 block of Fort Pleasant Avenue, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said.  Springfield police are searching for the shooter.  Investigators ask anyone with information on the killing to contact Springfield detectives at 413-787-6355.

Man Shot To Death Inside Springfield Apartment: Police Springfield police said they found the body of a man inside an apartment early Monday morning, Nov. 27, killed from an apparent gunshot wound.  Officers were called to the apartments in the 0-100 block of Fort Pleasant Avenue, where they found the body just after 4:30 a.m., said Ryan Walsh, spokesperson for the Springfield Police Department. Homicide detectives are investigating the slaying. Residents Rescued After Fire Breaks Out In Western Mass Footage of body cameras worn by Western Massachusetts police officers has been released to the public showing them rescuing residents from a burning building. The incident took place in Hampden County around 4:15 a.m., Monday, Dec. 13, when members of the Springfield Police Department responded to a call for a fire at a multi-family home on Fort Pleasant Avenue. Suspect Nabbed After Shooting In Western Mass A Western Massachusetts man has been charged with assault and battery with a firearm after police found another man shot. Hampden County resident Luis Rodriguez, age 32 of Springfield, was arrested around 1:50 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, after Springfield Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation on Fort Pleasant Avenue. According to Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police, when officers arrived they found Rodriguez in the area, and when they attempted to speak with him he was non-compliant and combative.
