Nursing Home Rape: Man Gets 10-12 Years For West Springfield Attack, Faces Deportation
A 37-year-old West Springfield man found guilty of a 2013 rape at a Hampden County nursing home will spend at least the next decade behind bars, authorities said. But his punishment won't end there. Mihail Lujan, a Moldovan national, will be handed over to federal officials for deportation following his 10-to-12-year prison sentence, the Hampden District Attorney said in a news release. A 36-year-old man from Western Massachusetts is facing several charges after he allegedly broke into an elderly woman's woman and attacked her over the weekend, authorities said. Officers responded to a report of a woman who had been assaulted in her home off Route 20 in West Springfield around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, March 26, West Springfield Police report. Police In Western Mass Search For ID Theft Suspect Stealing From Victims
Police in Western Massachusetts are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected of committing identity fraud. The man is suspected of committing identity fraud at a Hampden County financial institution in West Springfield. The man, who has not been identified, is also accused of attempting to steal thousands of dollars from an elderly person, said the West Springfield Police Department. The investigation into a string of purse snatching incidents in Western Massachusetts led to the arrest of two suspects who are wanted for the robbery, the District Attorney announced. Police investigators in Western Massachusetts are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man who allegedly spent hundreds of dollars from an older woman. An alert was issued by the Westfield Detective Bureau in Hampden County for a wanted man who allegedly used a credit card stolen from an elderly woman to spend hundreds on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
