Authorities are investigating after a 56-year-old woman was killed in an officer-involved shooting in Southern Massachusetts this weekend. Officers responded for a well-being check at 32 Spooner Street in Easton after a man from Ashland called police saying his mother allegedly injected herself with a dangerous amount of insulin in an attempt to commit suicide, NBC10 Boston reports. West Nile Virus Detected In Massachusetts For The First Time In 2022
West Nile Virus has officially been detected in Massachusetts for the first time this year, the Department of Public Health (DPH) announced on Wednesday, July 13. The virus was found in a mosquito sample found collected on July 11 in Easton, DPH said.
