Multiple Injuries Reported After Drag Racing Incident In Western Mass A crash involving a car allegedly drag racing along a busy roadway left several people injured in Western Massachusetts.  The crash took place around 8 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 19 when the vehicle's driver lost control and slammed into the Avis/Budget Car Rental building on Riverdale Street in West Springfield, said authorities. According to Lt. Anthony Spear, of the West Springfield Fire Department, when crews arrived on the scene, they found a 2021 BMW inside the building with the driver trapped.
