Wilmington Residents Without Water After Christmas Eve Main Break: Officials
Multiple residents in Wilmington will be without water for several hours because of a massive pipe burst on Christmas Eve, officials said. The main break happened in the Kilmarnock Street was reported around 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, according to Wilmington Police and the Department of Public Works (DPW) on Twitter. Crews are working to repair an unexpected water main break in the Kilmarnock / Morgan / Fletcher neighborhood. UPDATE: Wilmington has lifted its boil water order as of 8:10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 Residents in Wilmington are being ordered to boil their water after the town's water system tested positive for E. coli, the town said in a statement on Thursday, Sept. 8.
