'Generous And Humble': Families Remember Men Who Drowned In Lynn Ponds Authorities have released the names of two men who drowned in separate incidents in Lynn over the Memorial Day weekend.  Michael Petkewich, 60, and Macario Ordoñez Calmo, 30, were both killed on Sunday, May 26.  Firefighters were called to the Breeds Pond just after 7:15 p.m. to rescue Calmo. They risked their lives to pull him from the water, but they couldn't save his life. 'You Will Never Be Forgotten': Friends Of Lynn Man Killed In Rock Crusher Accident Say Goodbye The loved ones of a 37-year-old Lynn man killed in a freak accident in Essex County on Monday, July 17, said he was a hard-working businessman and caring friend.  Chris Perry died while cleaning a malfunctioning rock crusher suspended above a quarry at the Aggregate Industries facility at 30 Danvers Road in Swampscott, the Essex County District Attorney said. Another worker also working in the machine escaped without injury.  Chris was the owner and operator of C.G.P.
