Home Ends Peacefully: Police A police negotiator was able to talk a man who had barricaded himself inside a Middlesex County apartment Sunday afternoon, Sept. 10, out of the home without bloodshed, authorities said.  Officers were called to 7 Elm Court in Maynard just before 12:30 p.m. because a man was destroying things with a hatchet, Maynard police said. Other people inside the home were able to get out without getting hurt.  The man, whose name has not been released, barricaded himself inside the home and refused to come outside. Cambridge Man Slashes Woman's Hair With 'Large Knife' Post Argument: Police An argument culminated with a terrifying haircut when a man used a large knife to cut a woman's hair before locking himself inside his home, authorities reported.  The 30-year-old would-be cosmetologist barricaded himself after fighting with the woman and cutting her hair outside his apartment on Gore Street in East Cambridge on Tuesday, Dec. 6, Cambridge Police report.  The woman later escaped from the man after the assault and was later found by police officers.
