A duplex at 41 Quincy Street caught on fire, according to a Boston Fire Department Tweet made at 8:37 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27. A second alarm was rung after the blaze quickly spread to two neighboring buildings at 43 and 45 Quincy Street.

Heavy fire greeted the firefighters on all three floors of the building, prompting the ringing of a third alarm.

The blaze was extinguished by 9:00 p.m., but 15 people, including two children, were displaced because of the inferno.

The Red Cross of Massachusetts  helped the affected people find emergency placement.
