Family Mourns 'Bright-Eyed' Little Girl Killed While Crossing Street In Andover
The family of a 5-year-old girl who was hit and killed by a tractor-trailer as she crossed a street in Andover on Tuesday, May 9, said losing her has left an "impossible void" to fill in their lives. The family of Sidney Mae Olson said she was a "bright-eyed, energetic girl with springy curls." The young girl was struck as she and a family member crossed Elm and Main streets around 5:15 p.m., the Essex District Attorney's Office said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
