The Office of Chief Medical Examiner will perform further testing to determine the cause and manner of Mooney's death, authorities said.
Mooney, 53, of Newmarket, New Hampshire, was a 30-year season ticket holder for the New England Patriots and was sitting with his wife in the 308/309 section of the stadium during Sunday's game when a fight broke out, police have said.
Video of the incident shows several men shoving one another and some punches being thrown. It's unclear what sparked the argument between Patriots and Dolphin fans. Mooney collapsed during the brawl and never regained consciousness.
EMTs rushed the father of two to Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where he died just before midnight, authorities said.
Lisa Mooney, Dale's wife, told 7News that he had heart issues but no conditions.
Dale Moone was a self-employed construction worker and father of two adult-aged sons, his wife told the news station.
No charges have been filed in the fight. Authorities ask anyone with information to contact the State Police Detective Unit – Norfolk District Attorney's Office at 781-830-4990.
