1 Dead In Early Morning Cambridge Apartment Fire; 15 Left Homeless One person is dead, and more than a dozen are without homes to begin the new year after an early morning fire in Cambridge burned through an apartment complex, officials said.  The blaze began just after 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at a four-story Chester Street apartment building, state fire officials said. Newton Man Dies Days After House Fire; Broken Lamp Likely To Blame For Blaze A Newton man who was trapped in a Newton house fire on Dec. 13 has died of his injuries, authorities announced on Tuesday, Dec. 26.  The blaze began about 10 a.m. at 125 Allen Ave. One of the people inside escaped the conflagration, but the older man — who is in his 70s — was left trapped inside. He had limited mobility and needed to be rescued from the flames by a firefighter, the State Fire Marshal said.  The man died on Dec. 23. His name was not released. The firefighter who rescued him received less serious injuries. They both were taken to Mass General for treatment.  I…
