Cause Released For 'Strange Smell' That Hospitalized West Newbury School Student One student was hospitalized and multiple students nauseated because of a strange odor reported at a Pentucket middle school in West Newbury. Seventh-grade students in a third-floor science lab reported a strange odor around 10:00 a.m. at Pentucket Middle School on Monday, May 1, according to the public relations team for fire and school districts.  Thirty-nine students were evaluated at the scene, six of whom complained of symptoms including nausea. Bomb Threat Prompts Early Dismissal At Fitchburg High School Students and staff were let out of school early after a bomb threat was made against Fitchburg High School, school officials said.  The school got word of the threat around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, school officials said on Facebook.
