Chelmsford Teenager, Athlete Dies After 'Hard-Fought' Battle With Rare Cancer A former high school football player died after his life took a "serious and heartbreaking turn" when he was a junior in high school.  Nikolas Sperounis, of Chelmsford, was an active high schooler, competing on both Chelmsford High School's varsity wrestling and football teams before he was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2021.
