A Haverhill man who viciously beat an 82-year-old man with a lamp before stabbing him to death will spend the rest of his life in prison, a judge ruled on Friday, June 21. Leedell Graham, age 53, was convicted on Tuesday, June 18, of the 2019 murder of Patsy “Pat” Schena at Scena's home in Groveland, the Essex County District Attorney said. The jury found Graham guilty of first-degree murder with extreme atrocity or cruelty and breaking and entering with the intent to commit larceny over $1,200. A Haverhill man was found guilty this week of bludgeoning an 82-year-old man with a lamp before fatally stabbing him in a 2019 home invasion in Groveland, authorities announced. Bedford Man Admits To Killing Child 58 Years Ago, Leaving Body In Western Mass River
A 75-year-old man has admitted to beating a 10-year-old Hampden County girl with a rock and leaving her to drown in a river in Western Massachusetts. Donald Mars, of Bedford, pleaded guilty Thursday, May 2, to manslaughter after he was indicted in the 1966 murder of Betty Lou Zukowski, the Hampden County District Attorney said.
