Parking Bans In Effect For These Eastern Mass Towns Ahead Of Winter Weather Massachusetts is facing the fallout of a "significant" winter storm that is causing communities to batten down the hatches and enact parking bans.  Between four and 11 inches of heavy snow, along with hazardous travel conditions, are expected in parts of eastern Massachusetts through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service Boston.  Winter storm watch upgraded to winter storm warning generally north of I-90 with the exception of northeastern MA east of I-95 where an advisory is in effect.
