North Reading First Responders Help Deliver Baby In Bathroom
First responders in North Reading are being hailed as heroes after they helped deliver a baby girl in a family’s bathroom, authorities said. An expectant mother who was past her due date gave birth to a healthy baby girl, and the North Reading Police and Fire Departments were at the Greenbriar Condominiums on Greenbriar Drive on Monday, Jan. 15, around 8 a.m. to help her. “We wish this new family the very best, and I am proud of our North Reading first responders who helped ensure this surprise turn of events ended well,” Police Chief Mark Zimmerman said. Fundraiser Began For Family Of Waltham Officer Paul Tracey
A fundraiser has been created for the family of a Waltham police officer who was killed in the line of duty earlier this month in a hit-and-run crash that left another person dead and two others hospitalized. Officer Paul Tracey was killed on Dec. 6 while managing traffic at a National Grid job site. Utility employee Roderick "Kito" Jackson was also killed when a man crashed into them and kept driving. A 32-year-old mother is facing charges in connection with the murders of two young children at a home on the South Shore, authorities said. One Sherborn officer takes walking a beat to a whole new level. Officer Doug Kingsley is hiking across Massachusetts —219 miles — to raise awareness of the mental health struggles of his brothers and sisters in uniform.
