Chelmsford Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital After Memorial Day Weekend Crash A 31-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition after being involved in a crash in Chelmsford over Memorial Day weekend, according to authorities.  Police responded to the crash near the intersection of Princeton Street and Richardson Road around 10:41 a.m. on Sunday, May 28, Chelmsford Police Chief James M. Chelmsford Police Officer Dies 2 Weeks After Cancer Diagnosis An active-duty Chelmsford police officer who "put others before himself" died suddenly after a short but "courageous" battle with cancer.  Timothy Bourke, a lifelong resident of Chelmsford and police officer since 1993, died on Sunday, May 7, according to the Chelmsford Police Department.  Bourke was diagnosed with cancer only two weeks before his death.  "We will miss his laughter, smile, and willingness to put others before himself always," said the announcement made by the Chelmsford Police Department.
