Off-Duty Cambridge Police Officer Seriously Injured After Struck By Car An off-duty Cambridge police officer was seriously injured after getting hit by a car in the overnight hours of Friday, Sept. 2, the department said on Twitter. The officer was hit after a vehicle drove through a red light at the intersection of Cambridge and Quincy Streets around 1:40 a.m., police said.  An off-duty Cambridge police officer was injured in a crash on Cambridge St early Friday AM after they were struck by another motorist, who drove through a red light at the intersection of Cambridge & Quincy St around 1:40a.
