'Blow To The Gut': Atwood's Tavern In Cambridge Shutting Down After 16 Years Customers had the wind knocked out of them after learning that a Boston area bar, restaurant and music venue is shutting down after more than a dozen years in business. Atwood's Tavern in Cambridge will be closing its doors for the last time on Friday, March 31 following a 16-year run, the restaurant posted on Facebook and on its website.  "This place has been a neighborhood spot and will continue to be," the announcement read.
