The Cambridge woman was only 35 when she died on Nov. 20. She left behind loving parents and siblings and a large community of friends. Some of them started a GoFundMe to help her family. The campaign is less than 10 percent away from its $30,000 goal.
"She was the kindest, most intelligent, most creative, thoughtful, driven, hardworking, and loving person," they wrote in the GoFundMe. "In all aspects of her life, she gave everything. To her family, she was devoted and loving. She was a source of love, comfort, and an often-needed voice of comfort for her friends."
Her family did not disclose how she died, but she lived to make others feel special, they said. Wheeler served others as a stylist and beautician at a Saugus salon.
"Throughout her journey as a master stylist & aesthetics, she was the epitome of who someone you went to, to make them feel beautiful," the GoFundMe reads. "It is impossible to list all of the positive things that can be said about a person of such high character who had a heart that shined so brightly."
Her family held a funeral mass on Nov. 29 at St. Anthony Church in Everett.
