Dracut High Officer On Leave Over Alleged Inappropriate Relationship With Student

Police are investigating allegations that a school resource officer had inappropriate contact with a student, officials say.

Sunny Nguyen, a school resource officer at Dracut High School, was placed on paid administrative leave amid allegations that he had inappropriate contact with a student, according to Dracut police and Dracut Public Schools.

In a joint statement, Dracut police and Dracut Public Schools say they are aware of the allegations and that the Dracut police immediately launched an investigation into the allegations.

Nguyen will remain on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

The district says it is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation.
