Driver Dies After Crashing Into Tree In Hadley A Western Massachusetts man was killed when his vehicle left the road striking a tree, officials said. The crash occurred in Hampshire County shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, March 24 in Hadley. Prior to the crash, a Hadley Police officer observed the vehicle make a wide turn onto Mill Valley Road from Route 9, briefly leaving the roadway and driving over grass, said Laurie Loisel, spokeswoman for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
