A storm system headed to the region will bring heavy downpours at the tail-end of the weekend. Storm activity is expected Sunday afternoon, July 9 into Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service. A tropical rainstorm developing off the East Coast will put a damper on the region's second half of the weekend. Rounds Of Thunderstorms Will Bring Relief From Heat, Humidity
Several rounds of scattered showers and thunderstorms will lead to relief from the heat and humidity that have gripped the region since the end of last week. But it will remain warm and sticky until after the storms pass through by the end of the workweek.
