Woman In Region Violently Carjacked With Gun To Her Head By 3 Men, Police Say A Connecticut woman on her way to the post office was violently carjacked when the suspect's bumped her car from behind.  The incident took place in Hartford County around 10 p.m., Thursday, July 13, in Windsor Locks. According to Lt. Paul Cherniack of the Windsor Locks Police, the victim was on her way to the post office in her 2020 Infinity QX80 at the intersection of Route 75 and Schoephoester Road when she was bumped from behind by possibly a blue Acura sedan. Woman Found Dead After Apartment Fire Breaks Out In Region A Connecticut woman was found dead inside a third-floor apartment following a fire. The Hartford County woman was found around 8 p.m., Monday, March 21, in East Windsor following the fire at a multi-family home on Church Street. When firefighters were called shortly before 7:30 p.m. there was a report of “trapped parties on the third floor," the Broad Brook Fire Department said. Woman Dies After House Fire Breaks Out In Northern Connecticut A Connecticut woman was killed during a house fire that caused extensive damage. The fire started around 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14 in Litchfield County, at 314 Buckingham Street in Watertown. The blaze was contained to the first floor in the back of the house with heavy heat and smoke coming from inside, according to Watertown Fire Chief David Bromley. Enfield Woman Found Dead In Driveway, Police Say Police are investigating after a Connecticut woman was found dead in her driveway. The middle-aged woman was found around 6:40 a.m., Thursday, May 7 in Hartford County on Wallace Street in Enfield, said Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox. Fox said the department is investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, but that it was too early to speculate.  Police have issued a notice to neighbors in the area to expect police activity during the day as investigators work the case.  This is a developing story.
