Two teens took a joyride in a stolen SUV in Hampden County on Wednesday, March 29, and crashed into a man on a bicycle before running away from the scene on foot, authorities said. Though, they probably should have stayed in the car because they didn't get very far before Springfield police caught up to them. The crash happened around 6:45 a.m. after they drove the stolen SUV down Carew Street and then onto Newbury Street, Springfield police said. Bicyclist Killed After Hit By Car In Western Massachusetts City: Police
A bicyclist has died after they were hit by a car in Chicopee this week, authorities said. Police responded to the crash on Meadow Street just before 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, Chicopee Police said on Facebook. Upon arrival, officers found the male bicyclist with serious injuries laying on the ground. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, police said. The incident shut down Meadow Street as a result. The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said. The crash is under investigation.

A bicyclist has died after being hit by a truck in Boston, according to authorities and other news outlets. The incident happened in the area of Huntington Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue around 12:09 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, Boston Police and WHDH report. Bicyclist Struck, Killed By Car At Intersection In Hampshire County
A 69-year-old bicyclist was struck and killed by a driver crossing a busy intersection in Western Massachusetts, police said. Officers from the Northampton Police Department in Hampshire County said that a cyclist was riding his bike near the intersection of Woodlawn Avenue and Elm Street at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6 when he was struck by a car. Authorities are investigating the discovery of a body in the Connecticut River in Western Massachusetts. Bicyclist Injured After Being Hit By Car In Hampshire County
A bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a car in Western Massachusetts. First responders were dispatched to the intersection of Pleasant Street and Wright Avenue in Northampton at 12:48 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, where there was a report of a pedestrian that had been struck in the middle of the roadway.
