Local Restaurant Mogul Buys Iconic West Springfield Eatery Could wings soon be spotted over West Springfield? The owner of the Hangar restaurants, aka “Wings Over (town name),” has purchased the old Hofbrauhaus off Memorial Drive in West Springfield, according to MassLive. The purchase price was $500,000. Renovations are planned for the former German restaurant, which was well known for its food as well as the unique building. Rounded doorways, dark wooden shelves lining the walls, and a thick dark-colored barroom.
