Duo Nabbed For Attempted Armed Robbery At TD Bank In Springfield Two Western Mass men have been arrested for allegedly robbing a TD bank in the region. The robbery took place in Springfield around 9:15 a.m., Saturday, April 9 at the bank located on the 500 block of Sumner Avenue.   A teller told officers one of the suspects handed over a note demanding money and implying that he had a gun, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police. The incident also led to four arrests. On Wednesday, Oct. 7, at around 11 a.m., Springfield Police saw a suspected drug deal in the parking lot on the 500 block of Sumner Avenue, after which the suspects drove away in two vehicles. Police stopped one of the vehicles on Sumner Avenue and allegedly found 69 bags of heroin and a bag of cocaine, police said. The crash, which happened around 11:30 p.m. near Castle Street, is under investigation, police said. Police said a car was backing out of a driveway onto Sumner when a motorcycle rider collided with the vehicle, according to WesternMass News. The motorcyclist was a 30-year-old man. No other identifying information has been released at this time.
